About The Remote Creatives

What We Do

The Remote Creatives is a resource hub and community for creative professionals who want to work from anywhere. We’re here to help you build a sustainable, thriving remote career without the noise, gatekeeping or perfectionism. Whether you’re a designer, marketer, writer, or any kind of creative professional or entrepreneur, you’ll find honest, practical advice here tested in the real world.

Who’s Behind It

I’m Han Talbot, and I’ve been navigating remote life since 2013 when I did a study abroad year in Brazil and realised I could build a career from anywhere. What started as my personal journey, documented through my personal brand Han Meets World, has evolved into The Remote Creatives. All those resources and insights from years of remote work are still here. They’re just now organised as a dedicated platform to better serve creative professionals like you.

Over the years, I’ve worked as a freelance marketer, hosted The Remote Life Podcast, led communications projects across industries and partnered with tourism boards and travel brands. I’ve been part of pilot digital nomad programmes from Croatia to the Costa del Sol, and I’ve learned that remote work isn’t just about travelling: it’s about designing a career and life around what actually matters to you.

What You’ll Find Here

Destination Guides – Real insights from places I’ve actually lived and worked. Not just pretty photos; proper recommendations for cafes, coworking spaces, and what it’s really like to work there.

Practical Resources – Freelancing guides, productivity tips, business advice, and strategies for building a sustainable remote career. Everything’s been road-tested because remote work is too important to leave to guesswork.

Community & Coaching – Connection with other creative professionals, accountability, and 1:1 or group programmes to help you turn your skills into a thriving remote brand.

The Remote Life Podcast – Stories, insights, and conversations about building a creative life on your own terms.

Why This Matters

I believe remote work should be liberating, not limiting. It should give you freedom, authentic connection, and the chance to build something real. That’s what The Remote Creatives is about—helping you navigate this landscape with honesty, abundance, and a bit of fun along the way.
